"Split Rock"

when you hike up north cheyenne canyon, you eventually step through the trees to find looming above you this rock of monumental proportions. it is set on the side of a hill with the path brushing past it on the right. large enough to provide shelter in a time of storm or a solid foundation if one chooses spend time there. when I first found Split Rock I felt compelled to draw and paint it and have since grown quite fond of my time spent there. it has become for me a metaphor for Christ. the rock which was broken but through that brokeness i create art.

in addition to my original size print, i've decided to offer Split Rock in a medium size format, 14 3/4" x 26" image size. It is printed on a white 220gr. smooth paper in an edition of 750. a 3/4 size alternative for smaller wall spaces and affordability.
