"Elk
In The Aspens"

|
this painting is a spot off the side of horseshoe basin in rocky mountian national park. during winter there are less people in the park and you can usually find some really monsterous bull elk running around. they still have their antlers and are usually somewhat tolernt of haveing their picture taken. i really like elk. something about the dignity they carry with themselves. that tremendous head gear is pretty hard to resist too. it's got the most beautiful shape to it, with just a hint of menace. when ever I walk up on a bull in the woods I'm always kinda shocked like, "What's he doing here?" I'm sure He's thinking the samething. That and whether it would be of any benefit him to pound me into the ground. |
