King was this gigantic Shire that lived out at Rock Ledge Ranch. Black as coal except for his white feet and nose. He had award winning conformation with ribbons to prove it. But even at 2000 lbs he was as gentle as could be. His owner Lillian would get in next to his feet and say lift and he'd lift his feet for her to clean. I saw him one day waiting for chickens to pass by before coming out of his stall.
